Kailani’s the kind of girl who can spend an afternoon lost in her imagination, building Lego creations or dreaming up magical stories. Creativity comes naturally to her, and she often fills her time with writing poems or making up stories. She likes to read and gravitates toward activities that let her express herself. Kailani hopes for parents who will take her to the beach, cheer her on when she tries something new, and make time to simply play together. More than anything, she wants to feel safe being herself, a bright, independent girl who loves to help and is ready to discover how far her imagination can take her.

Billie-Ann has a quiet strength that shows up in the ways she cares for others. She’s nurturing by nature, with a “mother goose” personality that shines through when she’s spending time with her younger siblings or helping around the house. Those who know her best describe her as friendly, determined, and full of potential. Serenity is a bright, vivacious, and caring girl who brings warmth and joy to those around her. Thoughtful by nature, she loves making others feel special. She values kindness and fairness and hopes to carry those qualities into her future career as a traveling nurse. “I want to help others,” she says, showing her compassionate heart and strong sense of purpose. Serenity enjoys staying active and being involved. She participates in basketball, cheerleading, and after-school activities, keeping herself busy and engaged. She also loves singing and dancing and would love to take dance classes with her future family.

Meet Charis — a vibrant, outgoing girl whose curiosity and energy shine in everything she does. She approaches life with enthusiasm and heart. Charis has a growing passion for science and imagines a future where she’s a scientist, traveling the world to study volcanoes and explore different cultures. She’s thoughtful and self-aware about what makes her feel safe and supported. At home, she contributes in ways that show her helpful spirit and sense of responsibility. Charis describes herself as kind, enjoyable, and happy—and the adults in her life agree. They see her as motivated, helpful, and full of humor.

Sarenity    Age: 15          Waiting Since: 3-28-2024

After school, Sarenity likes to dance, and spend time with loved ones. On weekends, she likes to watch TV, go shopping, and dance. In school, her favorite subject is math. Sarenity would like to be a social worker when she grows up. The most important thing Sarenity wants you to know about her is that she’s very honest and blunt. Most of all, Sarenity wants a family that she can participate in family outings with. “Sarenity is an outgoing teenager who loves to listen to music and dance,” says an adult close to her. “Sarenity is very intelligent and articulate with her words.”

Ivy    Age: 15          Waiting Since: 10-8-2020

There’s no missing the amazing grace of Ivy. Whether she’s dancing or twilling across a carpeted or wooden floor, Ivy finds her own way to have fun. But make no mistake, she loves socializing with others, and they will enjoy doing the same with Ivy. “Ivy shows a strength and willingness in learning new skills,” says one of her close adults. All in all, that’s an amazing combination for a girl who wants and needs a forever family.

Arabella    Age: 14          Waiting Since: 1-3-2024

Arabella’s favorite weekend and after-school activities are coloring, playing board games and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite things about school are art club and lunch time. “Arabella typically does well at school and gets good grades,” says one of her close adults. Arabella likes creatures such as frogs, giraffes and bunnies, but she also likes fairies. Her favorite foods are chips, spaghetti, chicken and pizza.

Journie    Age: 14          Waiting Since: 10-26-2018

Nurturing comes second nature to Journie, who longs to use those skills one day. Journie’s other favorite activities include making art, riding her bike, watching movies and pitching in around the house. She also loves reading and is great at telling stories. When she gets older, Journie wants to become a lawyer.
