DIONTE

Dionte would like families to know, “I am clean, funny and cute.” He is a young boy who is considered to be a “go-getter.” Dionte is a brave kid who is not afraid to take a chance on new things. He really loves football (he plays nose tackle and lineman) and has great athletic ability. Dionte’s favorite foods are mac & cheese, ribs and BBQ chicken. He cares a lot about his family and would like to visit more frequently with his grandmother whom he has a close relationship with. When Dionte grows up he would like to become a football player or a clothes designer. On the weekends, he enjoys going outside for walks, riding his bike, rollerblading and playing sports.

Dionte can be quiet and introverted at times. He is more open and loving when he learns to trust new people. Dionte has difficulty managing instability in his life and benefits from a consistent and reliable home environment. He is worried about finding his adoptive family and can let that uncertainty affect his demeanor. At school, Dionte has had some difficulty with developing and maintaining positive peer relationships. He would benefit from a positive role model and encouragement to improve in this area.

Dionte says, “I would like a family who has older kids, I want older brothers!” He adds, “I would also like a mom and dad or just a mom.” Dionte needs an adoptive family who can provide him with love, structure, guidance and support. He would do well as the youngest child in a two-parent or single-female home with older kids whom he could look up to. The family should be proactive and engaged in helping Dionte have a lot of positive outlets and activities for him to participate in. The adoptive family must be willing to continue and seek out any support services that would be beneficial to his well-being. In addition, the family must be willing to help Dionte maintain contact with appropriate members of his birth family and his siblings, as these are very important relationships to him. Another important relationship Dionte really wants families to know about is his relationship with God and that he loves him.
