David   Age:13    Waiting Since: 8-27-2019

David enjoys staying active and spending time with the people around him. Sports are one of his favorite ways to channel his energy, and he especially likes activities such as soccer and basketball. In school, David excels in math and takes pride in doing well in the subject. People who know David describe him as playful and kind. He has a sense of humor and enjoys sharing jokes and funny moments with others. Looking ahead, David hopes to travel and has talked about visiting places like Japan or Disneyland one day.

RJ   Age:13    Waiting Since: 2-9-2024

RJ would describe himself as having a good sense of humor. He’d say he’s generally happy and has a good attitude.” RJ has plenty of activities that brighten his day. He enjoys going for walks and spending time with pets. Rayshawn likes participating in gym class at school, playing games afterwards and watching movies on the weekends. When he gets older, RJ wants to become a police officer, and when he’s asked the most important thing he wants others to know about him, Rayshawn says, “I’m smart.” He’s a planner, too, because he’s got a list of things he’d like to do with his new family including shopping and going to water, trampoline and amusement parks.

Elijah   Age:16    Waiting Since: 4-21-2020

Elijah is a young person who connects with others through shared activity and conversation. Sports are a central part of his life. He spends his free time playing basketball, riding his bike, going on walks, and talking about football and the NBA. Elijah’s interests reflect both creativity and imagination. At home, Elijah is responsible for keeping his room clean. He responds well to structure and clear expectations. Adults describe him as observant and thoughtful. When Elijah talks about a forever family, he focuses on time together. More than anything, he wants to belong. He has said that being part of a family is one of his biggest wishes.

Dylan   Age:8    Waiting Since: 3-29-24

Dylan is a bright, imaginative young boy who enjoys sharing the things he loves with the people around him. His interest in superheroes, especially Spider-Man, gives him a chance to dive into stories, use his imagination, and connect with others who enjoy the same characters. Being active is important to Dylan, he likes heading outside after school to play with his toys, ride his bike, or pass a ball with friends. Dylan contributes at home by cleaning up his toys and making his bed. People who know Dylan describe him as helpful, outgoing, and smart. At school, he enjoys learning and takes pride in finishing his work.

Jordan   Age:12    Waiting Since: 3-31-21

Jordan is a kind and creative teen who enjoys learning, building, and exploring new ideas. He spends much of his free time watching videos, especially reaction videos. He also enjoys drawing, building with Legos, and playing video games. Jordan describes himself as kind, sweet, personable, and focused. He works hard on tasks that interest him and puts care into the creative projects he takes on. At home, he helps by cleaning his room and takes pride in keeping his space organized. He is curious about the world and asks a lot of questions as he tries to understand how things work. He enjoys meeting new people and is often eager to talk once he feels comfortable.

Cameron   Age:15    Waiting Since: 4-27-22

When Cameron picks up his mellophone, the world fades away, and the music takes over. His passion for playing in the school band is undeniable. Beyond music, Cameron is a sharp-minded student with a love for math, always up for a challenge when it comes to numbers and problem-solving. After school, he balances his time between playing video games, helping around the house, and spending quality time with his brother. Cameron envisions a future as a teacher. His three biggest wishes reflect his heart’s desires: a loving family, a successful career, and the independence of owning his own car. He dreams of a forever family that will travel with him, support his school performances, and celebrate his achievements.

Isaaiah   Age:15    Waiting Since: 4-6-2018

There’s something quietly compelling about Isaaiah, the kind of presence that draws you in not with loud energy, but with sharp wit, thoughtful observations, and a sense of humor that sneaks up on you. He finds connection in shared interests, especially when it comes to gaming, and he’s happiest when conversation feels easy and mutual, not forced. On the weekends or after school, you’ll likely find him with a controller in hand, fully immersed in something that lets him be creative, strategic, and entertained all at once. He may not yet know what he wants to be when he grows up, but he has big dreams and even bigger empathy—wishing not just for money or more wishes, but for world hunger to be solved.

Liam   Age:8    Waiting Since:  11-18-2022

Liam has to be one of the biggest little guys on the planet. He doesn’t just smile; he beams! “He loves playing outside,” says one of the adults who cares about him most. “He loves to jump, swing and catch balls.” “Liam has been observed to usually being happy and smiling,” says one of his close adults. “Liam is goofy and fun and has the best smile! He’s learned and grown so much in the past two years! Liam loves to play outside on the trampoline and ride his scooter.”

Tavion   Age:15    Waiting Since:  5-3-2022

“Tavion is a very sweet and playful kid. He is very silly. He loves being outside and being active. He can be very helpful. Tavion is a lot of fun to be around. He has a huge heart and his smile and laugh lights up any room he’s in,” According to one of his close adults. Tavion enjoys playing video games and building things with Legos. He loves playing outside and going on bike rides and playing basketball. Tavion likes participating in gym class, but he says math is his favorite subject in school.

Julian   Age:14    Waiting Since:  5-1-2023

Julian has a creative side to his personality. “He is artistic and likes to draw and color,” says one of Julian’s close adults. He says art and gym are his favorite classes in school. Some of his favorite activities are swimming, playing video games, and watching TV. When he’s asked what he’s most proud of, Julian says “being smart.” “Julian does well in school academically,” says one of his close adults. Among other things, Julian says he hopes to go swimming and vacationing with his new family.

Braydon   Age:10    Waiting Since:  2-14-2023

“Scott is incredibly smart and has excellent grades,” says one of his close adults. Like a lot of young men his age, Scott enjoys building things with Legos and playing video games. He loves playing at the park and afterwards he’s likely engaging in reading, which is another favorite mind-expanding activity. Scott understands the importance of family and will fit in with one who believes in him and enjoys how well he interacts with others.

Isaieh   Age:15    Waiting Since:  2-4-2022

Isaieh has ambitions of being a police officer one day, and we think he’d be fabulous at it. He has people skills that would make him stellar at that job. He is empathetic and energetic. He is currently taking some graphic design classes as part of a trade school program and he is really loving it. However, he still cites math as his all-time favorite school subject. “Isaieh is very social, extroverted and kind,” says someone who knows him well. “He loves to meet new people, build relationships and make new friends. Isaieh loves to learn new things and is able to ‘go with the flow.'”

Zack   Age: 16    Waiting Since:  2-11-2022

“Zack is a very friendly young man who loves to laugh and cares deeply about others,” says one of his close adults. Zack especially enjoys having fun. He enjoys playing with remote control cars, and he likes playing video and board games. Zack loves attending special events, and he says his favorite holidays are Christmas, New Year’s and Thanksgiving. One of the things that makes Zack the proudest is his friends. He adds that he’s also proud of being friendly, something that a new family surely would appreciate. “Zack has a great desire to be adopted,” says one of his close adults.
