DAMON

Damon isn’t just smarter than the average bear; he generally earns very good grades in school. “Damon does well academically and has adjusted to high school with ease,” his worker says. He’s a deep thinker when discussing his favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, which he likes celebrating by giving and receiving presents. “There is good food on Thanksgiving,” he adds, “and it’s nice having everyone come together.” Damon’s career goal is to become “a fancy, cool car salesman.” But first, there’s a matter of enjoying his boyhood. Damon loves playing basketball and does so at any opportunity. He also enjoys snacking on his favorite food. “One of Damon’s favorite things to do is go out to eat at Sonic for a cheeseburger and milkshake,” says his worker. “Damon also enjoys reading superhero books and watching movies based on them.” Damon looks forward to graduating high school and attending college, and he hopes to become an actor as an adult.

“Damon describes himself as smart, a good friend and helpful,” says his worker. “Damon gets along well with his peers both within the home and at school.” He would benefit from guidance on establishing and maintaining friendships with his peers as well as encouragement about himself. Damon has experienced a great deal of letdowns in his past and really needs a family to step up with a loving and stable home.

Damon would do best in a forever family with an experienced and patient mom and dad who can provide him the supervision, structure, consistency and compassion he requires. His new parents must be trauma informed, and they must make sure that Damon receives the services that will help him thrive. Finally, Damon thrives with positive and individual attention and would do best in an adoptive home where he was the youngest or only child in the home.
