Joshua

Joshua

One could change the title of that academy-award winning song from “Toy Story” to “You’ve Got a Friend in Joshua.” This sweet, playful, energetic and kind young lad is eager to learn all about the new people in his life. “He instantly wants to be friends with everyone he meets,” Joshua’s worker says, “and beams with excitement when talking about the things he loves to do.” Joshua loves being outdoors “and takes advantage of any opportunity to play outside,” his worker says. When he’s inside, Joshua loves building things with Legos. “When Joshua grows up,” says his worker, “he wants to be a firefighter so he can put out fires and help people.”

“Joshua is very lovable and enjoys letting others know that he cares for them,” his worker says. At school, Joshua receives assistance to help him thrive. He loves learning and takes pride in his schoolwork. Joshua does best when he receives one-on-one attention to stay focused.

Joshua would do best in a forever family with two experienced parents. His new parents must be knowledgeable of the impact of trauma on a child. They must be fierce advocates for the services that will help Joshua function at his best. Joshua would do best as the youngest child in the home, but his worker is open to younger or older children.
