Joshua
Chances are better than average that Josh will have you saying, “oh my gosh!” But in a good way! This likeable and lively lad loves to make others laugh, but he also likes to comfort them. “He has a heart of gold when it comes to caring about other feelings,” says one of Josh’s close adults. When he’s not caring for others or bringing joy to them, Josh finds time for himself. Playing video games and building things with Legos represent two of Josh’s favorite things to do. It comes as no surprise that Josh wants nothing more than to visit Lego Land. He wants to see all the cool Legos there! He loves playing, and he enjoys being outside, especially after school. On his list of favorite things, Josh includes gold and black for color, cat for animal and a whopper from Burger King for food. His favorite after-school activity is relaxing, and his favorite weekend activity is sleeping in. Josh’s favorite holiday is Christmas, which he enjoys celebrating by opening presents and decorating. Josh has dreams of the future that include becoming a tow truck driver. But, if he could have his greatest wishes granted, they would be to own all the Legos in the world, become the richest person, and own a junk yard to resell stuff. Because he’s such an outdoorsy guy, Josh hopes for a forever family who likes going camping and spending time in nature. If your family has a passion for Legos and the outdoors, Josh might be the right fit for your family.
“Joshua is a humorous child who loves to laugh and joke around!” says one of his close adults. “He is an amazing storyteller with a big imagination. He loves giving people gifts and making them feel good. Joshua is a sweet and kind child who is so deserving of a loving family and everything this world has to offer him.”
Josh would do best in a home with a single dad who is experienced. He would thrive as the only or oldest child in the home. His new family needs to be fierce advocates to make sure Josh gets the services that will help him function at his best. Josh’s new parent or parents should be understanding and patient with his transition into the home. Josh loves animals – especially cats – so he prefers a family who has pets. He will need a family that will support him in maintaining his sibling relationships.
