Lyla

Lyla

Lyla-Jane, who prefers to go by Lyla, is a sweet and charismatic pre-teen who leads with her heart. She seeks closeness and comfort and is happiest when she feels connected to the people around her. Lyla is creative and expressive, spending hours making bracelets, painting, and diving into crafts. She enjoys reading, playing video games, and settling in with her favorite stuffed animals and soft blankets.

Family time matters to her, whether that looks like movie nights, pizza, or playing games together. Lyla also enjoys being outdoors, loves “girly” things, and hopes to travel and experience new places with a forever family.

At her core, Lyla wants to feel loved, chosen, and noticed. That need shapes much of how she moves through the world. When she feels unsure of her place or fears rejection, she may push others away before they can do so themselves. She struggles to manage strong emotions and needs adults who can remain steady, gentle, and regulated during those moments.

Lyla has ongoing needs that require consistency, structure, and a family able to support her needs. She will thrive with caregivers who understand trauma, are experienced, and are prepared to provide close supervision while continuing to see her strengths and potential. She would do best in a two-parent, trauma-informed home and could do well with or without other children. A home with pets would be especially meaningful to her. With the right support, patience, and commitment, and with space for healthy connections to important people in her life, Lyla has the opportunity to build the sense of safety and belonging she has been searching for.
