Liliana

Liliana

Liliana hasn’t had a normal life, so she sure longs for one. As one of the adults who cares about her most puts it, “She just wants to stop and try to be a normal teenager.” One of Lily’s biggest wishes is to have a family. She also wishes for happiness and success. Lily takes pride in her strength and resilience, or as she puts it, “the fact that I’m still pushing through,” which should serve her well in her quest for a forever family.

Lily is an interesting young lady whose favorite color is olive green, favorite animals are cows and cats and favorite after-school activities are walking, napping and cooking. On the weekends, she enjoys going to community events, volunteering, hanging out with family, going out to eat, watching TV and spending time with pets. When she’s with her friends, Lily likes “going on adventures, especially anything water-related.” Lily is a studious girl who enjoys school, does well academically and says world history is her favorite subject. She participates in art classes, volleyball, kickball and pottery. If she could travel anywhere, Lily would go to Israel – “It’s a beautiful country” – and when she gets older, she wants to become a travel nurse. Once she finds her forever family, Lily has some simple yet satisfying desires for their time together. “I want to get to know them, have a happy and healthy relationship and go on adventures with them,” she says.

According to an adult who knows her best, “Lily is very shy upon meeting others. Lily is a very down-to-earth, interested and driven girl who has many goals and who is a very smart. She can do wonders with a proper routine and someone to believe in her.”

Lily will need an adoptive family who is understanding and patient with her transition into the home. Lily would thrive in a forever family who can provide guidance and plenty of attention. Her new family needs to seek out any support services that would be beneficial to her success. Lily also needs a family who will be open to letting her explore who she is and support her no matter what. Her new family must be open to letting Lily maintain her sibling relationships.
