Elijah
You can count on Elijah to sink the big shot to win your family the game. As sure as Elijah is his name, basketball is his game, and he loves playing it at school, after school, on weekends and when spending time with friends. He’s a YouTube fanatic as well and enjoys catching a laugh watching animal videos. One of Elijah’s proudest claims involves cleaning his own room and following directions. Elijah loves trampoline parks and family fun centers. Elijah loves satisfying his hunger with Chinese food – how about crab rangoons? In addition to basketball, Elijah likes swimming and football. When he gets older, Elijah wants to be a police officer, which makes sense because they all need to be in tip-top shape and helps explain why gym class is Elijah’s favorite part of his school day. When he’s asked what he wants to do with a future forever family, Elijah says he wants to play basketball and other sports. But the most important quality he wants to do with his new family is spend time together.
Elijah is described as sweet, loving, bubbly and caring. “He’s a great kid and is very smart and athletic,” says a person close to him. “Elijah is very social and enjoys being around people. He always has a smile on his face.”
Elijah would be at home in a family with a parent or parents who are experienced and willing to help him get the services he needs. His new family will benefit from trauma training. In addition, the family should be open to letting Elijah maintain the relationships that are appropriate and important to him. Finally, Elijah would do best as the only or youngest child in his new home.
