Aliyah (Born 2008) who prefers going by Shae describes herself as determined, really stubborn, honest, a great listener, and a very observant person. She enjoys playing clarinet in the marching band at her school, spending time with her pet bearded dragon, reading fantasy books, and doing puzzles. Shae would like to attend college and become a teacher one day. She is also interested in becoming a professional body piercer because she appreciates self-expression and individuality. Shae deeply desires to be adopted and have a place she can always come home to even as she gets older. The most important qualities to her in an adoptive family are that they are understanding, respectful, good at listening, open, and honest.
