Serenity is a bright, vivacious, and caring girl who brings warmth and joy to those around her. Thoughtful by nature, she loves making others feel special, whether through a small gift, a kind note, or a simple phone call to check in. She values kindness and fairness and hopes to carry those qualities into her future career as a traveling nurse. “I want to help others,” she says, showing her compassionate heart and strong sense of purpose. Serenity enjoys staying active and being involved. She participates in basketball, cheerleading, and after-school activities, keeping herself busy and engaged. She also loves singing and dancing and would love to take dance classes with her future family. When it’s time to unwind, she enjoys shopping, watching TV, playing Uno, and spending time with friends. Whether it’s a weekend trip to the movies, a fun outing, or simply hanging out, Serenity loves making memories with the people she cares about. Holidays are a big deal to Serenity, and she enjoys celebrating Christmas, New Year’s, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, and Easter by going out and spending time with others. Her favorite foods include pizza, shrimp, and mac and cheese, and her favorite color is pink. If she could visit anywhere in the world, she’d choose Florida because she’s heard the water there is amazing! Serenity is proud of who she is and embraces her individuality. She describes herself as kind, smart, caring, lovable, joyful, and important. She has been through challenges, but her resilience and strength shine through, and she hasn’t given up hope on finding a family who will love and support her.

According to one of her close adults, “Serenity is outgoing and vivacious. She is thoughtful. If she goes to the store, she will pick out items for the people whom she cares about. She is bright and observant. Despite experiencing numerous disappointments, Serenity has not given up hope on finding a family. She is resilient and strong.”

Serenity would do best in a well-structured household where she gets the supervision and attention she thrives on. Her new parent or parents should be patient, experienced and trauma informed. They also must be strong advocates for the services that will help Serenity function at her best. In addition, Serenity should be the only or youngest child in her new forever family. Serenity also prefers a family who has pets, but nothing scary like snakes! Above all, Serenity wants a family who will accept her for who she is, stand by her side, and make her feel safe and loved. She is hopeful for her future and is ready to find the forever home she deserves.
