Sleven

Sleven

He could be called Sleven the Entertainer because he’s always trying to get a smile out of others. “Sleven has quite a sense of humor,” says one of the people who knows him well. “He is always telling jokes, trying to trick someone or get a laugh out of someone.” “I am talented,” says Sleven about the most important thing he wants other to know about him. When he isn’t eliciting laughs from others, Sleven likely plays sports, which is his favorite after-school activity. He takes pride in his athleticism and loves playing basketball and football, and he says Madden NFL is his favorite game. Sleven wishes he could make it to the NFL to play football professionally, but if not, this polite and well-mannered boy wants to put his helping skills to work when he gets older by becoming a police officer. One day, Sleven would like to visit Washington, D.C., and perhaps hear “Hail To The Chief.” “I want to see the president,” he says. When he’s asked about the qualities he wants in a future forever family, Sleven says he prefers one who’s active and enjoys playing and watching sports.

Sleven likes being included in family activities such as going to the store and on community outings. Sleven has quite the outgoing personality. “He has the ability to walk right up to someone and relate to them in some way and immediately have a new friend,” says his close acquaintance.

Sleven would do well with one or two parents who can provide the supervision and one-on-one attention he needs to thrive. One of the people close to him says Sleven would benefit from having “a solid male figure” in his life. He would do best as the youngest or only child in the home. Sleven’s new forever family must be strong advocates for the services that will help him function at his best. Finally, his new family must be willing to let Sleven maintain the relationships that are important to him.
