Charles

CHARLES

Charles, who likes to be called “Chuck,” needs a family to help him prepare for the future. His list of goals includes doing well in school so that he can play on the football and basketball teams. He needs a family who will take an active role in helping him graduate from high school so he can go on to college. He has the skills. “The best thing about me,” says Chuck, “is that I am smart!” Described as loving, kind and considerate, Chuck likes to play board games, watch TV, go to the recreation center and play video games. He lists his favorite things as “nachos, math and playing outside,” and his favorite sports teams are the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. If Chuck could have one wish it would be, “to have a family!” Additionally, Chuck says, “I will feel like I belong in a family when they take the time to take me to school every day!”

Chuck can let his emotions get the best of him, causing him to become frustrated. Chuck is very smart but can become distracted in school. He also needs to develop appropriate peer boundaries in school.

Chuck would do well in a single-male parent or two-parent forever family. He would do best with a strong male and female in his life. Chuck wants a family who will love and support him and has expressed an interest in families who have children. An adoptive family will need to maintain services that Chuck requires to succeed in school, at home and in the community.
