Expect August to roll up her sleeves and get busy with plenty of tools at her side. She’s a hands-on kind of girl who enjoys working on cars. As a matter of fact, when she gets older, August wants to become a mechanic, and her pleasantly peppy personality will please her patrons. “August has a positive attitude and is very helpful,” says her worker. In addition to fixing cars, August enjoys participating in volleyball at school and afterwards she likes writing in her journal and focuses on interesting and inspirational quotes. When she spends time with friends, August enjoys going to the mall. On the weekends, you’ll find August watching TV or listening to music. Her favorite genre is rap. On her list of favorites, August includes green for color, blue nose pitbull for animal and mac ’n cheese and pizza with ranch dressing for food. If she could travel anywhere, August would visit Egypt because she wants to learn Arabic and she’s interested in the pyramids. This outgoing and friendly girl wants to join the cheerleading squad, and after high school, August hopes to attend Michigan State University. With her future forever family, August wants to spend time together, perhaps going to the mall.
August is a well-behaved young lady who would benefit from patience and understanding. She receives assistance in school to help her function at her best. She is a very creative girl who can do better in school, where her favorite subject is math.
August prefers a forever family with a mom and dad. She would do best as the youngest child in the home. Her new parents must be experienced as well as knowledgeable of the impact of trauma on a child. They must be strong advocates for the services that will help August thrive. Her new forever family must be willing to let August maintain her sibling relationships. Finally, August prefers a family who lives in a rural setting and has pets.
