So you’ve seen people dancing on a stage, but check out K’ymari who’s dazzling on a board in a new video coming soon to his profile. That’s right, he’s “dancing” on a hoverboard. Or more accurately, K’ymari is using his hoverboard to put on the moves as he spins once, twice, thrice … OK, there’s no such word as Fice, but he even does it a fourth time to the thrills of an adult bystander, who exclaims, “Fantastic!” K’ymari loves trying new tricks on his hoverboard. And yet, another activity tops K’ymari’s list of favorite things to do. “Video gaming is still by far his favorite activity,” says one of the adults close to him. K’ymari also is an avid reader. In addition, he loves being outside and would enjoy shooting hoops if and when given the opportunity. When he gets older, K’ymari has his sights set on a certain career. “When I grow up, I want to be a police officer so I can help people and save the day,” he says. Regardless of his pursuits, K’ymari would benefit from having a forever family who cares about him.
According to one of the people who knows him, “K’ymari is a polite, intuitive boy who has a strong sense of right and wrong.” He thrives on positive attention and enjoys spending time with adults. K’ymari describes himself as smart, funny and kind.
A forever family for K’ymari could consist of one or two parents, but his new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed. A forever family for K’ymari needs to be patient and committed to helping him. K’ymari’s new forever family must be strong advocates for the services that will help him function at his best. Finally, his parents must be willing to let K’ymari maintain his sibling relationships.
