Josiah prides himself on being an outdoorsman. He loves spending time outside and enjoys learning new skills in Cub Scouts such as the safety procedures that accompany his archery and BB gun interests. Josiah’s favorite TV shows reflect his love of the outdoors: “Survivor,” “Alaska: The Last Frontier” and “Life Below Zero.” If he could visit anywhere, Josiah wants to travel to Hawaii to sample its fishing opportunities. And you can probably guess his favorite after-school activity: playing outside with the children in his neighborhood. Josiah also takes pride in his Cub Scout activities and loves earning the belt loops for completing them. In addition to his outdoor interests, Josiah likes writing, riding bikes, playing Legos and eating sweet and sour chicken. He also loves PB&J sandwiches and ice cream with chocolate and sprinkles on top. With his future forever family, Josiah looks forward to – what else? – spending time outdoors hunting and fishing together.
“Overall [Jopsiah] is a good kid,” his worker said, but he needs a forever family who will play with him and help him learn to make good choices. He would do best with two experienced parents who can provide the one-on-one attention when he needs it. In addition, Josiah should be the youngest child in the home. His family must be strong advocates for the services that Josiah needs to function at his best. Finally, Josiah wants a family who enjoys the outdoors and owns pets, especially dogs.
